4. CD-ROM and Hard Drive
The CD-Rom:
Since I could easily load W2K from a cd, there was no need for a floppy. Grabbing the closest cd-rom, I placed it on the mailbox base, and was extremely excited and relieved to see that it too, just fit! The only way I was going to be able to mount this sucker was from the underside. Fortunately, the cd-rom came with these great mounting spots on the underside; they were most likely intended for people making computers out of mailboxes ;). Awesome, that is taken care of.
The Hard Drive:
Looking at the layout, there was really only enough room for 1 hard drive, to be mounted vertically between the cd-rom and the motherboard. For this, I busted out the sheet metal again, and made some quick L-mounting brackets again. Where would the world be today without L-brackets?? You can see them in the next section.
